i just posted a 2 second completion time for the beginner level of minesweeper. add that to my 37 second intermediate and 96 second expert. [booming god voice]Can anyone beat me?[/booming god voice]
But don’t you realize how immoral and evil your actions are?
Read the link, and REPENT!
Damn. There goes the pride in my 9 second time on beginner. Cant remember my other times, but you got me beat there too.
Yep.
Not on the Beginner level, but I’ve always been a firm proponent of the theory that if enough games are played, a 1- or even 2-second Beginner score can be attained through lucky placement of mines, so I attach little importance to my Beginner score (I haven’t even played a single game on Beginner since I reformatted, so I guess that makes my record 999).
33 and 87. Though I’ve only broken 100 on Expert 4 times.
yea, that damn expert…so frustrating to lose late in the game. i admit, the 2 second was 70% luck, but it still makes me feel good. there were only 2 blank blocks for me to click after the first click.
Yeah. I have to give you credit for the 2 second win, the 1 second win would be pure luck, but a 1 second reaction time on clicking 2 more blocks is pretty damn good.
How long have you been playing?
Did anyone else, on meeting a boasting minesweeper player, sneakily edit the .ini file, putting in your own name, and a time 2 seconds quicker?
…or was that just me?
well, no one will ever beat the 0 seconds i have on expert, that i wrote in myself…
I can beat the intermediate record, with a time of 23 seconds. I don’t remember my best on expert, but it’s low 80’s.
I need to get out more.
I can get a 30 second score on Expert without editing the ini file.
I just don’t know what’s wrong with you folks. It’s easy. Tell you what, to show my generosity, I’ll give you a tip:
Click both mouse buttons, then press shift-escape, release shift-escape, then release the mouse buttons. The clock stops. Now you too can get great minesweeper scores without resorting to editing the score file!
i’ve been playing a while, long enough to know that you, Sengkelat, are not a true minesweeper player.
Didn’t work for me, Sengkelat.
It works. It’s cheating, but it works. Did you think that “trick” would come as a surprise to anyone? We know about it. The registry edit “trick,” too. Go home, cheaters!!
you are not true minesweeper afficianados.
I hadn’t heard of the clock-stopping trick before. Interesting.
Tried it once, just now, just to see that I could make it work. It was strange, calmly clicking away with the clock stopped at 3 seconds. But the game just isn’t right without the urgency that the clock provides.
My best scores won’t compete with the experts here. I got down to the upper 40s on Intermediate, and into the 130s on Expert, back before I found the SDMB. Since then, my Minesweeper game has fallen off severely due to inattention.
