People get mad at me for this! Though I also don’t like sitting for too long unless I have to. If I’m in a casual conversation or study group or something, I’ll always be walking around the room inspecting everything. It’s not like I’m not paying attention to the conversation, I reply and talk just like everyone else. I just… walk. I also have to walk when talking on the phone.
I don’t mind sitting when playing board games or writing or whatever, but I absolutely hate standing in one place, and I need to walk when I’m thinking.
Hate standing. I’ve done a lot of retail work and I could barely handle my last foray because of the constant standing with no movement, no sitting, no leaning. The guards at Buckingham Palace? One of my nightmare scenarios. I pace when I brush my teeth, so I couldn’t do what they do.
Sometimes it’s boredom (like waiting in line), but if it’s more than a few minutes, I am in a lot of pain.
I don’t like standing because it makes me feel self-conscious and awkward. Like I’m some big tall tree woman taking up space who doesn’t know what to do with her arms.
I hate standing too, mostly because is exacerbates my lower back pain, if I’m in a situation where I have to stand I tend to sway or rock side to side to ease the pain.
