The fucking Peruvian army was (OK, fuck that…still is) using live dogs as training tools to teach commandos how to kill.
I just don’t know what to say about this shit. Vile invective seems hollow.
I hate humanity sometimes.
OK, most of the time.

EXTRA WARNING
Do not click the link if you don’t want to see pictures. No blood and gore, but EXTREMELY DISTURBING nevertheless.
Holy Mother of God.
Hmmm…username Ogre … a hatred of animal cruelty …
You sound a lot like this Ogre, from this band, who wrote these lyrics.
Too damn late… now I’m stuck with this picture in my head…
I have no words to describe what I just saw… didn’t even read the article… saw the pic and shut off…
It’s past inhumane
Sorry, interface2x…not me. I know the band of course, but I haven’t followed them since “Tin Omen”…and that was what, 15 years ago? I didn’t realize they were still kicking.
GASP!
Urg.
That looks like MY dog.
What next? Why not put a few KIDS up there to?
(whyohwhy do I NOT heed the warnings people put up? I didn’t need to see that Web page right before I go to sleep).
If I hadn’t already resigned from the human race, this would’ve accomplished that in about three seconds.
My god…
I read the article these people are complete morons they throw a live grenade at each other back and forth until it goes off and dive to the ground WTF kind of military training is this. And when they are done being " hardened soldiers" what then, do they go home and raise a family play catch with the neighborhood kids?
They should be destroyed like the animals they take pride in mutilating excuse me i must go vomit now
Well, they could find some MRTA-types and tie them up, but I doubt that would make people outisde of Peru much happier…
Ok, sorry folks but I’m having a hard time understand why everyone is reacting more strongly to the fact that the use live animals for training than they are to the fact that their army is training squads of heartless reflex killers.
Killing animals is bad… Conditioning people to not care if the kill people is WORSE
Well, Peru is a long ways away. Why do we not look in our own back yard so to speak.
( dog fighting)
( cock fighting)
( bear baiting)
Lord almighty, I knew Arkansas had problems but BEAR BAITING!
Besides, all those activites are prohibited in most states to begin with. When they find those rings here in NY, they bust them up.
Cockfighting is still legal in New Mexico and Lousiana. Oklahoma just took a giant step out of the Stone Age and outlawed the practice. I think cockfighting is sick and barbaric, and I’d like to tear a new butthole into anyone who makes their living off it.
CRorex, I agree with you that the problem isn’t just animal abuse (and that’s bad enough in itself) but human rights abuse. Latin America sure has its share of bloodthirsty homicidal bastards…many of them trained by the U.S. School of the Americas!
If you look around, you can find pics of what is left of Palestinians after the IDF is done… and there were some nice shots from 'Nam…
What EXACTLY do you think it is these people do?
What color is the sky on your planet?
Yeah, happyheathen, war is cruel and disgusting. And yes, CRorex, killing a human is probably worse than killing an animal. It certainly is in my world - I’d rather accidently run over a dog than a child, for instance.
Still, most will agree that a country (any country) needs a defense force.
And training your defense force by making them kill live animals is just beyond comprehension. Anyone who fails to see this, or hides behind some sort of cynical mask whilst berating the naivety of others, well… let’s just say I don’t think highly of people like that.
What I’d like to know is under what fucking scenario this training will be usefull. What a bunch of ass backward fucks.
I hope they get worms from drinking the blood.
As well as an outstanding soundtrack for Descent II.
From the OP’s cited story:
Ah. And when was ‘bravery’ re-defined as ‘ability to slaughter a totally helpless, harmless, trussed up animal?’ I must’ve missed that meeting. Most deer hunters I know wouldn’t have the unmitigated chutzpah to describe their ‘sport’ as indicative of bravery, and their targets are actually unrestrained.
