Anybody else just finished an enormous project, feel free to add yourself to the list and we’ll all celebrate together.
My husband is part-time preaching at a tiny country church (total congregation: 10 if the one family with kids all come), and they have no pianist. They had been singing with a songleader belting it out a capella, but it was felt that this was less than desireable.
Enter Me, with my computer and my Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 and my collection of hymns on CD. I somehow (!) volunteered to put captioned hymn slideshows on DVDs for them, so they could play them on their sound system and sing along. Not as good as a pianist, but way better than singing along with Marilyn.
So I started in the middle of March, and today I finished the last batch, with 11 Christmas songs, making 168 hymns in all.
Which I believe is enough for one lifetime.
Go me.
Whew.
