I can’t remember the last time I watched the Winter Olympics, probably sometime back in the 1970’s. However, I love watching the Summer Olympics, especially the diving competitions and the women’s gymnastics. I was watching t.v. a couple of days ago and they were talking about a new sport being introduced to the Olympics this year…trampoline jumping. It looked cool!
I too am beginning to think that there is a general overkill as far as the olympics are concerned…especially when they don’t start for another few days yet! The olympic torch Marathon around australia was a bit of an anticlimax! I think the best bit was when people tried to steal it! What a laugh!!
but seriously…unless it’s gymnastics or diving on the box…I think mine will stay turned OFF!!
Even better than stealing the torchwas the incident where some kid tried to extinguish it! He damn near succeeded too!
In a way, I’m sad that he didn’t quite manage to do it.
