…and all I can say is: Wow!
It’s fantastic. The people who say that it’s a masterpiece and a classic are not exaggerating. Everything is great: the scenery, the acting, the CGI, everything. It’s the best movie of the trilogy, IMO.

It took you ten days to go see it?
What can I say? I was busy.
OK, I guess that can happen. Well, here’s a few recent threads in Cafe Society that you may find of interest, then!

I fully concur with your opinion, Diceman. I just saw it for the second time today, and I saw a million things I missed the first time around, to name a few:
Was that a ghost of the dead that Aragorn saw peeking out when he peered down that spooky canyon?
Elijah Wood got a superfluity of fear/confusion/hysteria to emote, so it was a relief when he got to register a moment of pure leering evil as he claimed the Ring and put it on.
That was an orc’s shield that Eowyn picked up from the ground as her only defense against the Witch King’s mace! I thought at first viewing that Rohan had issued her a cheesy shield.
When Merry and Pippin do their table dance in Rohan, Gandalf looks like he needs a bit of relief from worry himself, because he laughs and claps as he watches. It reminds me of when he attends Bilbo’s party back in Hobbiton.
More details will come in the extended edition. I think I heard it will swell the movie to five hours.
Jeez how could you miss the ghost! That sent shivers down my spine! IMO that was one of the greatest shot elements of the movie. Grey on Grey on Grey on White. Oooooo.
