Congrats Uke Ike!
If’n we ever meet up, I’ll buy the good beer. You’ll probably only be able to afford Blatz for the next several years…
Ike, congratulations!! What a HUGE accomplishment!!
Thank you, guys!
She’s thinking about a history or political science major, but I hope she kicks back and has some fun with courses for freshman year, like I did (and avoids a literature major like I did, which exposes you to great profs and fascinating ideas and prepares you for an exciting life as a grocer).
I was just looking through the course guide for 2008-2009, and I want to go with her next year. Wouldn’t it be great to attend college when you’re old enough to appreciate it?
Congratulations to all of you! You have every right to be proud.
Oooooh, I just took a peep at this fun Public Art at Yale site.
Click through to Claes Oldenburg’s Lipstick Ascending – the chassis was a great stage for spontaneous performances and found-art goofing – and the bizarre, monumental 1930s painting Alma Mater, which stands over the main desk of Sterling Memorial Library, and which we all referred to as “Our Lady of the Circulation Desk.”
Just adding my heartfelt congratulations! Exciting times in the Instrumental family!
Yale? Aren’t they the johnny-come-latelys? I thought Harvard was older and more respected. Still, second-best isn’t bad.
Congratulations to little Pianola! Tell her, when she walks through the corridors of power after graduation, not to forget us little folk who cheer her on from the sidelines.
Congratulations to the young 'un, Uke. Seems like it couldn’t have been that long ago you told me (and porcupine) about her going to Stuyvesant when we saw you in NYC.
Still got that Nixon book from Strand you wanted.
