I just had a job interview!

Australian Public Service - Executive Level 1…and it could’nt have gone better

For those (the majority here, I guess) who haven’t been into one of these. Its a pretty standard format. It consists of a three member interview panel plus a scribe. Each panel members ask’s a few questions, in this case I had a string of 6 to answer in just less than an hour. Nothing written either, its all verbal responses, so lots of quick thinking.

Now the waiting starts…

Wonderful! It’s always nice to feel good about these things afteward. And so fun to dream and imagine life with the job. Good luck!

Cool beans. Sending lucky thoughts your way.

third straight person to hope it goes well for ya.

something about things happening in threes…i don’t know

I’ve been on both sides of those sorts of interviews.

What part of the APS?

You didn’t tell them you are a Doper, did you?

Good luck, Vagus! Give 'em hell!

Oh my. I feel nervous enough having one person interview me, I can’t even imagine the Triple Threat.

Oh I just have to share:

Mere seconds after posting this, I got a call back to set up an interview I’ve been going for myself, and she mentioned I will be meeting with herself and another person. So I’m getting the Double Trouble. I’m afraid.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I’m in the APS now so I’m used to the process. The worst interview (for the job I’m nin now) was a panel of 6

This is one of those jobs which will change everything, apart from the pay rise, about 20%, its 4km from where I live rather than the current 30km. Just the saving in fuel & wear on the car (I plan to ride or walk to work) will add up to about $100 a pay.

Wow. I don’t even have a clever phrase for that one.
