Let this be a lesson to you. The next time you wish to state who your favorite dopers are, make sure you open the thread in the pit. :dubious:
Don’t feel bad, Agent Foxtrot . I don’t think there’s anyone who’s been here for awhile that hasn’t had at least one thread closed yet (including me!). I know you meant well, but yes, if through the progression of the thread someone didn’t see their name there they might feel jealous/insulted. But like I said, don’t take it bad. At least it was a pretty tame matter and not some huge trainwreck. 
It was redundant, really - there was a “Dopers who you’re thankful for” thread going on at the same time without any animosity. Asking people to pick their “top three” was almost certainly bound to stir up difficulty.

Of course, I behave myself and I don’t let no-good-people into my threads. None of you are on that list of course – you’re all nice people.
