I just met Bill Nye The Science Guy!

He was great as Billy Kwan, but I’ll always think of him as a high fivin’ white guy.

I noticed you live in Arlington. Having lived there for 7 years in the 90s, I’m curious as to what part of town you saw him in?

I had lunch with him one time, and he wore my wool mittens to handle dry ice. (I knitted them myself.)

I’m very much enjoying Eyes of Nye! The one on addiction was particularly fascinating. Was that the first episode? Dr. Drew was on it. Rock. Rock on!

My kids and I saw his live show at the Field Museum in Chicago.
He was very cool.

Science needs spokespeople like Nye–why did his show stop? It was so good.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who uses that reference point to describe Alton. And, An Arky, I too am jealous. :stuck_out_tongue:

Westover.

Westover? On Washington Blvd? Near that hardware store? and the independent grocery store and post office? I lived in those apartments right near there. That was MY 7-11. Bill Nye was at MY 7-11! From 8 years ago, but still!

That’s the place. And that’s my 7-11 now…hahahahah!

We’re quite the star-crossed little neighborhood. Patch Adams lives around here somewhere; my wife has seen him.

It’s impossible to to meet Beakman: he’s a fictional character from a TV show, inspired by a fictional character from a comic strip. Bill Nye, however, is not.
