I keep getting redirected to an ad for something called "ZoneAlarm"

Hmmm. Looks like it’s happening on at least three browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox), but every report so far says “Windows.”

Anybody have the problem on Mac/Linux/mobile device… ?

This one hit less than 10 minutes ago, but I was able to return to what I was doing after I copied the URL to Notepad:

Just happened to me. All I did was click Great Debates and I was redirected.

I’m sure my browser is working fine. If I directly click on your link, I’m sure it would go to where I told it to go. Or was that a whoosh?

I’ve had that ad appear when browsing a Proboards forum, but not here yet.

The QC people at our ad provider say they’re having difficulty figuring out where the ZoneAlarm redirect is coming from and humbly request the assistance of the Teeming Millions, as follows:

  1. If you’ve been redirected to this ad while on our site, please indicate your geographical location.

  2. If you’re moderately tech savvy and use or would be willing to use Firebug (I’m told Vantage will also work, but I’m less familiar with that program), send us your Firebug log next time this happens. (This tracks everything that comes over your Internet connection.) A Firebug log was very helpful in tracking down a problem ad last fall.

Thanks for your help. We hope to get this resolved soon.

Update - our ad provider says they think they’ve now tracked down and blocked the source of the ZoneAlarm ad. Pls advise if you see any further instances of this ad.

Which links? The only links in this thread are to ZoneAlarm itself, ie the redirect destination, there’s little point in clicking those. I’m assuming that people were redirected as they browsed the boards normally.

I must have misinterpreted this statement by assuming you wanted to see what the redirect looked like. Perhaps you can see how I might have made that error?
