My gf prefers me clean shaven so I try to shave before I go over there. Earlier this week I was at her place and we were making out for quite awhile.
She sends me a pic the next day of a spot on her chin that I evidently rubbed raw. I felt bad about it but that it was kinda funny.
Anyways I was just over there and her chin has heeled up quite a bit but of course we ended up getting intimate again. I had shaven before I left for her place. I noticed a bloody taste in my mouth when we first started but figured that either my lips were dry or the minor nosebleed I had earlier was leaking into my mouth.
Nope, I broke the scab, she noticed the taste too.
Shit. It’ll probably be worse tomorrow.
What can I do about this? Anything?
I use a store-brand razor with six blades that I thought did a really good job.
Should I switch back to a more quality razor to leave my skin more smooth? I’ve never quite had this problem before. Rough/smooth skin never mattered when I was single, I only wanted a close shave so I switched to this cheap razor.
I suggested she get some balm or something to protect her skin next time I come over…
I think you get a closer shave with the fewest blades possible, they tend to be better quality. Try changing the kind of razor you use. Maybe your GF’s skin will toughen up just a little - I don’t have issues with one day growth, but after that I get basically sandpaper burns until a guy’s beard grows out over a week. I suppose she could put a bandaid over her chin in the meantime, that’s hot.
Grow a beard! Facial hair is only like sandpaper for the inertial growth :D. It sounds like your girlfriend has super sensitive skin, if you literally shave right before hand, and if you don’t have stubble it shouldn’t be a problem. If she’s having skin to skin problems, maybe some cream/lubricant will help, or different kissing positions.
