If it should be gallstones, don’t sweat it. I’ve had it done.
I had six attacks - and yes, they’ll put you on the floor writhing in agony. During the last one, I went to the emergency room, had an ultrasound, and the gallbladder came out a week later. No big deal - outpatient basis, and no more attacks, either.
Hope it’s this simple for you.

If they filch out your gallbladder before you have an attack, count yourself incredibly lucky! It sucks to have an attack.
They won’t take my gallbladder out - because it doesn’t constitute an emergency. Unless I go private, which I cannot afford to do of course.

The doctors have ruled out gallstones, and Silver Fire is due for more tests this afternoon. The current suspicion is that she is suffering from an ulcer. On a positive note, however, her white blood cell count has more or less fallen back to normal levels. Hopefully the docs will be able to determine what’s going on from the results of today’s tests. Everyone keep their fingers crossed, and keep those good thoughts coming.
