I let my subscription expire for a few hours.

It’s confusing because the button says “Order Using Paypal.”

Paypal (the company) processes these transactions, so whether you pay by a PayPal account or by using a credit card, they handle it.

However, you do not have to use a Paypal account to pay for your subscription.

So click on the Order button already.

When you do that you will see a page with two options.

  1. A great big box that says 'HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT?" You don’t want that one.

  2. A little bitty box that says “DON’T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT?” That’s the one you want.

Click on the hyperlink of your choice.

Damn, I thought we couldn’t get it back if it lapsed, so I never bothered to ask.

bdgr, you have a message.

I let mine expire for 8 days. <sniff> I was too busy with protest walks and political stuff to check my gmail. I’d forgotten that my SDMB messages go to that address.

Did I lose my charter member thingie for good?

Just wanted to add that I renewed my subscription, and that when I checked the board in the last few days, I was surprised to see ads, but that I might have let my subscription lapse didn’t click in my mind.

Fixed that for you.

Thank you, TubaDiva!

I just let my charter membership expire…again. I do this every year, and I FINALLY figured out why. My email address for the board was a long-defunct one. I always wondered why no one reminded me to renew my membership. Hell, I didn’t even know renewal emails were sent out until this thread.

Well, my email is fixed now and it will never happen again. I don’t know if I can successfully plead for mercy one more time from Tuba, but here I am, hat in hand.

May I please have my old title back? I will try to screw up at least somewhat less in the future.
