After my feline companion of 13 years died last November, I decided to not get another cat. How could anything replace her? I have a wonderful dog Murfie, and was prepared to live life as a dog person. Being a dog person is great! No more cat hairs all over the place, no more litterbox odor, no more chasing the dog down to get the cat turd out of his mouth.
Then last week at the grocery store it happened… In the pet food isle, instead of concentrating on the “dog” side, I caught myself looking longingly at the faces on the “cat” side. But, I snapped out of it.
Today Murfie had to go to the vet to get dipped. Guess what the vet had that needed a new home.
So, everybody meet Billy Bob The Wonder Kitty, as he uses his huge ears to balance himself on a vertical surface.
What a cutie-pie! I especially like the chest-hair thing he has going on. My cat, Elvis, sitting on my lap as I type, gave me a big “Don’t even think about it” look as I was in mid “awwwww.”
Congratulations! He looks like a sweetheart with a little mischief mixed in. I suspect your dog’s in for some fun nights of “See Murfie sleep. Sleep, Murfie, sleep. See kitten pounce. See Murfie jump. Bounce, Murfie, bounce.”
OH! How precious. You are going to have a gorgeous cat on your hands in about a year or two. I mean, he is beautiful now, but I had a kitten that looked like that and after he grew a little, people thought he was a purebred of some kind. His name was Munchkin. I say was because he passed away recently after almost 20 years of loving life.
Blessings to you for giving a needy little one a home!
