If there were a legitimate debate over this issue, a legitimate distinction between two arguable positions that requires a fair and formal debate to clarify the opposing views and help people decide where they stand, that might be a valid point.
But there isn’t. There is no debate.

Agreed. Actually he seems much more opposed to it than I would expect the average gay person to be, let alone a sex columnist.
I like Dan’s column, though it can be a little snarky, but I only read it occasionally, when I happen to be in the city and pick up a Village Voice.
I do love his books though, especially the one he wrote about adopting a kid.

I just really like Savage’s clarity in getting points across. And I also thought Hughley did a good job of expressing his own questions about homosexuality/gay marriage. A very respectful exchange, in contrast to the Perkins debate.
