Now I’ve got to go try that out.
At religious services, I’ll [del]occasionally[/del] often slip into a Latin step (sometimes rhumba, sometimes salsa) for An’im Zemirot.

Well, I’m 6’ tall…, just saying.
In the late 90’s Hotel California was played constantly in Cuban radio, you’re right it’s very danceable. Of course the lyrics are what probably made popular:
“…you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!”
On a related note, I know that with Buena Vista Social Club, Cuban music started being popular in places where not many people were familiar with it, and Compay Segundo and company would play in theaters(!), instead of dance halls. Did anyone go to one of these concerts? Did the audience just sit around, or did anyone get up and dance?
I love dancing. The only couples’ dance I can really do is swing, and it’s a lot of fun, but I love club dacing. If I’m at a club where people actually dance (as opposed to the the ‘holding a beer bottle, and bobbing slowly up and down’) it’s an enormous amount of fun.
I’ve done belly dancing classes on and off for about eight years, and now I can do it to just about anything with a decent beat.
So much fun.
Ah! Reggae music is for you, then! So much fun to do some hip wigglin’ to that dancehall beat.
The Eagles, in the live acoustic version that was out a few years ago. (It’s really clear there)
I love dancing - pretty much any type - partner dancing, performance dancing, folk dancing, bouncing around the living room dancing, whatever. It’s fun and it’s freeing, and just happy.
