THIS PASSAGE of the bible doesn’t support rape. It smacks it with a (civil) punishment. How many damn times am I going to have to repeat that before you manage to correctly parse the words in the quote you yourself selected?

Rape is the crime whose civil legal punishment is being described in the passage you quote. You will note that it doesn’t go unpunished, either.

So, an appropriate punishment is forcing the rape victim to marry the rapist?

I have no opinion on that as I lack sufficient information. But I’m pretty sure that even some of them are aware that certain bits of the bible are jewish legal codes and their failure to mention non-legal punishment doesn’t in the slightest imply that non-legal (as in, divine) punishment will not also occur.

I don’t doubt that, but such wasn’t my question. My question was, as the OP painfully, in small words for the functionally illiterate (and to keep Tom and TubaDiva from contacting people to have myself done away with) delineates isn’t about the bible as a whole. It’s about whether the bible supports or in the alternative allows for rape.
