I love my new guitar!

Ever have a day where you realize something had been missing from your life but you didn’t know what it was? Enter my Larrivee L-09 30th anniversary limited edition acoustic guitar! This thing makes me cry! I have been playing on a Takamine G-Series for the past 12 years blindly thinking that all guitars sounded the same. After months of research and trying out guitars I stumbled upon the Larrivee. Yes I tried guitars I liked better, but at 1700CAD this one was a steal! I think it’s probably worth about 2500$ new, it was being sold used. The prior owner was a guitar collector and never played it (it is blemish free!). It sounds like a million bucks, and it looks soooo elegant and understated. I love it!

I also have gotten myself a fishman loudbox performer amp combined with a Rode NT1 A Microphone. Heaven!

I need to go play her now. Thanks everyone for helping me find the right guitar for me!

Good luck with it! I always love a new guitar. Isn’t it funny how whenever we get a new guitar a new song/riff appears instantly?

I got a new guitar yesterday… that all my friends call me stupid for… a Dean V-Coustic (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Dean-V-Coustic-Thin-Body-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar--Natural-512910-i1171857.gc) mines in black. I can play it due too a chainsaw splitting my finger in half this morning though :smack:

*can’t

We used to sell those at the store. Larrivee’s are fine instruments.

How’s the loud box?

The loudbox is awesome! I am microphoning my guitar with a RodeNT1-A and using beyerdynamic (studio) headphones. With the reverb on it sounds like I am in carnegie hall! I love it!

Did you sell the anniversary limited edition? I’m trying to get more information on it.

Very cool - congratulations Quasi!

**Wisthekiller **- looks like you’ll have fun after the finger heals!

Nice looking piece of work. I know what you mean about running off to play it.

I play a Takamine EF-341C. I’ve had it for 22 years now and last month I took it in for a setup. Over time, it had developed a very slight, subtle arch that was making it difficult for my stiff old fingers to work in the middle of the neck. The luthier laid his magic hands on it and I swear, it’s like the day I bought it all over again.

'Scuse me, it’s time to tune up and run off a few licks.

There seem to be a lot of new guitarists (or in your case, a “new-guitar”-ist) around here lately. In a few years, once the rest of us have learned to play, we should form a band.
