I’m sorta the same way - I put on a skirt and suitjacket and pretend I’m Laura Flynn Boyle on “The Practice.”
I hope you’re feeling better by now .
The last time I had food poisoning I was sick for about two days. More throwing up than anything else–I couldn’t keep anything on my stomach, so there wasn’t much left to, ah, come out the other end so to speak. Got it from eating a hamburger at a local fast food restaurant. They had a health inspection a few days after I ate there, and I found a copy of the report online. Meat improperly stored, meat improperly cooked, food preparation areas unsanitized, etc.
Funny thing was, no one believed that I had gotten food poisoning from that restaurant. “Oh, but it’s such a nice place,” people tell me every time this subject comes up.
Bet they wouldn’t feel that way if it was their living room carpet I yammied all over…
fnord1966, with all sincerity, I do hope you’re feeling better.
But your post caused me to remember “Svelte” from Torch Song Trilogy. It’s the song by Harvey Fierstein where he sings about how he figured out how to keep a slim, trim figure by puking right after eating.
'Cause of this post, I’ve had that song running thru my mind all day.
From the sounds of it, everything got recalled.
Bummer, dude. Hope you are feeling better soon. With the combo of heaves and poops, make sure you try to get lots of fluids in ya (even if it comes back up). Gatorade is good. Vomiting and diarrhea together can cause you to become dehydrated super fast and that will make you feel even worse.
The doctor I used to work for always suggested a BRAT diet (no, don’t eat kids!) whenever someone had a pretty bad case of the stomache flu (or whatever): Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Tea. They are very mild foods that will not upset your stomach too much. Again, however, lots of liquids!!
Hope you’re feeling better soon, you poor thing.
I appologize if I offended you and your place of employment, but I just had a really bad experience with Circuit City and those red shirt wearing kids you call sales associates. Now when I go in to a Circuit City, I just thing about Star Trek: Red shirt= 1st to die. (This is not a threat, just an observatioin.)
Hope your feeling better.
Well I am doing much better. Thank you One and All for your concern.
