Dewaholic yes, it does have “Hole in my shoe” and a bunch of other great stuff.
Here’s what I can remember from the song called “Ken”
(speaking)“This song is about a really good friend of mine, Ken…who I hate.”
(singing)“Oh-oh Kennnnn, I’ve known you since you were tennnnn…
And you were a complete bahstahd then…
Ken…”
Yep, that’s the whole song, and many other jewels like that. I know someone who might still have a copy. If I get it I’ll make MP3s.
Vix, that sounds killer! I have a turntable and can record it.
“Universe Man - He’s got a watch with a minute hand, millenium hand and an eon hand and when they meet it’s a happy land - Powerful man, Universe Man”
-TMBG
“What a great bag! What’s this? You brought me a present…why it’s a telescope – with a mouse in it! What the- you’ve got a whole box of them in here. Oh dear god!”
(“Don’t eat the cornflakes, Vyvian, they’re only one apiece!”)
“It was us versus them and it was clear who them was. Today we are not so sure who the they are, but we know they’re there.”
– Texas Gov. George W. Bush, presidential candidate.
If you want more Young Ones than the original 12 episodes, then check out Filthy, Rich and Catflap starring Rik Mayall (Rick) as Richie Rich, Ade Edmondson (Vyv)as Eddie Catflap, and Nigel Planer (Neil) as Ralph Filthy. Lasted just one season, is slightly less juvenile (i.e. more Adult themes) and is totally insane.
However, the cream of the crop is Bottom
which lasted for at least four seasons, plus two live stage shows! It stars Rik Mayall as Richard Richard, and Adrian Edmondson as Eddie Hitler (and guest stars Chris Ryan (Mike) as Dave Hedgehog). It is geniusly disgusting! It is the grossest television you ever experienced, but laugh out loud funny! Find it! Hunt it down, and worship it!
The Chess Game episode is classic, as is the Christmas episode.
