Twas the bestest fun ever.
It was definitely a good time, even if it wasn’t all that wild and crazy.
I don’t recall exactly what the rules are here anymore regarding parody threads, but it sure seemed like there was a greater degree of biting satire here over the weekend. Some of that stuff should be allowed all the time imho.
Well, the extra eye was a bit suspicious, I’ll admit that.
“Extra eye?” Is that what we’re calling it now?
ETA: It was special for Cecil himself to show up and hang out with us all weekend, I’ll admit that. He was much cooler than I expected - and so friendly!
Oh noes, an extra mouse click! I hope your metacarpals don’t crumble under the stress.
What are you talking about? People have been calling it the “little brown eyeball” forever!
What “Lost Weekend?” Did something go on this weekend? I can’t seem to remember. And there’s no evidence of anything out of the ordinary.
What’s your problem? I pointed out that a button that takes you to a new page (which had been there before the upgrade, btw) is not the same thing on the same page as a box where you can type in a response directly. Did I complain that an extra mouse click was too much trouble?
Yeah, fun at first, but it quickly became obvious that rules exist for good reason. In the end it was becoming undistinguishable from the Snarkpit in its content, ie piles of unreadable rubbish in which the occasional amusing nugget could be found, if one had the time and patience.
Chaos may be exhilirating at first but it quickly palls.
Sorry, I thought you were a) being petulant and b) meant “Not the same thing” to be read as snide.
That was kickass. Too bad my guest pass expired last month. Are we allowed to talk about who said what to who, or is there a whole ‘stays in Vegas’ dealie in place?
I think that’s a good way of putting it, Nicolas (“what happens on amnesia weekend…”)
No problem, then. And I’m usually a bit more obvious when I’m being snide.
I miss it too. And I kept trying to poke my head in the other forums and read, but after a quick skimming of the threads I was all [homer simpson]BO-ring[/homer]. Back to the pit!
I definitely learned some “interesting” facts about certain posters while lurking in it.
I was out of town all weekend but glanced at it last night.
I dunno, it looked pretty sweet. Having no rules would be kinda fun in the pit maybe. I didn’t have the stamina to read much of the threads but it looked like it got pretty interesting. The pit gets pretty boring sometimes, which sucks because it has the potential to be very interesting, hilarious, and awesome.
I thought the most revealing aspect of the whole thing was seeing which posters couldn’t even make it a couple of days without throwing a hissy fit over how everyone else was behaving.
I’d put my vote in for say whatever you like about whomever you like - just remember that you can’t prove anything.
Hey man, I would hella have posted in your thread, if I was able. Can’t start a conversation with a woman that’s not explicitly related to schoolwork without getting an “Oh look at the time I really have to be running along bye now!” in reply.
