I was in Denali Park since last Thursday and had no idea what the hell was going on. I thought there had been a troll invasion or something. A very surreal experience.
Not the same thing…“Quick Reply” was a box under the last post where you could type in something without going to a new page.
It was fun while it lasted, but I am very glad the board is not like that all the time. I don’t think I’d post here if it were that nuts on a regular basis.
It led to me being spoken of positively in the place I assume can no longer be named. 
I, too, missed out on the fun because I was between moves and had no internet access for the weekend.
Coming in from New Posts, it wasn’t immediately apparent We Encourage You To Be More Than A Garden Variety Tool had been enabled. Thank goodness the clusterfuckedness was reasonably fleeting.
It was hilarious and awesome the first night, but it got old kind of in a hurry.
I know it’ll keep my post count down compared to the weekend!
This sums it up nicely. Definitely diminishing returns on display.
Oh, you poor guys who missed it. We all swapped addresses and the mods are sending out pounds of chocolate to everyone who participated. Plus, the threads all had all the good looking Dopers posting nude pictures of themselves. I personally got a footrub from Giraffe (and yes, he DID use his tongue!). But never mind all that. I’m sure we’ll have another one some time that you’ll be able to catch.
(Oh yeah, we finally figured out what 14 k of g in a p d means. Good times, good times.)
