I must be crazy (WoW)

For what it’s worth, overall the quests are better in Northrend. There still a lot of “go there, kill x of these” but quite a few quests are different and they all hang together better. If you’re 68 you might want to head out there soon, assuming you have Wrath of the Lich King installed.

Be forewarned, though, you won’t be able to fly unless you pony up 1,000g for Cold Weather Flying.

I think Cold Weather Flying has been reduced to 500 gold now.

Actually, you won’t be able to fly at all until you hit level 77 (or did they change that with the 4.01 patch?)

I know they reduced the level requirement - to 68 I think. I didn’t know/forgot they reduced the price.

Correct on all counts. My Mage hit 68 a few days ago and was able to purchase CWF for 500 without a Tome.

Well, my friend is helping me out with coin, so that shouldn’t be a problem. He doesn’t have enough to get me the advanced flying (which is like 5k gold I think), but he said he’d get me the CW flying thing. I’m planning to finish off the quests I’m doing in the zone I’m in and then heading to Northrend this weekend. It’s supposed to be a really good leveling zone, and as has been said the quests are supposed to be a little more fun to do as well. I have to say that this game is cutting into my New Vegas time, but it’s been well worth it so far.

Heh. Quivers and Shot Bags effectively went away as useful items a few patches back when they a) removed the +speed bonus from them and b) made ammo stack in 1000s. And then 4.0 rolls around and removes ammo altogether – which is a bit sad for Engineers at least as ammo was one of the staple leveling items.

Ah, of course. I was wracking my brains to think of what xtisme was describing and had forgotten those banes of my Mage’s early 60s in Terrokar.

OK, must be a talent to reset CD on enemy death then. I’ve been leveling a DK in the beta, and being able to just grab, kill, and repeat, has been very helpful.
