There is a cartoon in which Foggy is about to spring a trick on the dog, and he says something to the effect of, “This is going to cause more confusion than a mouse in a burlesque show.” But I’m not sure if that’s the exact quote. I want to use it in a manuscript I’m writing, so I’d like his words verbatim, if possible.
Anyone know for sure the exact quote, or have the cartoon on videotape, or know of a site with WB cartoon quotes?
Yep, thta was the right quote: “This is gonna cause more confusion than a mouse in a burlesque show!”
Here is my favorite Foghorn quote:
"I-I-I know what you’re gonna say son. When two halves is gone there’s nuthin’ left - and you’re right. It’s a little ol’ worm who wasn’t there. Two nuthins is nuthin’. That’s mathematics son. You can argue with me but you can’t argue with figures. Two half nuthins is a whole nuthin’. "
LOL!

Foghorn Rules!!
That episode with the worm is a goldmine for great Foghorn quotes. My all-time favorite: Foghorn hides underwater, then swipes the worm off the cat’s hook when he puts his fishing line in the water. Then, Foghorn comes out, saying: “What kept, I say what kept ya son! I can’t hold my breath forever! I’m not a fish! I gotta breathe air! My lungs crave air! Ya gotta think of things like that, boy!” All the while, of course, walking toward the cat who is crawling backward, trying to get away from good ol’ blowhard Foggy. hehehe
My favorite is when he hides from the son of Widda’ Hen in the coal scuttle and is unearthed, after the appropriate calculations, from the middle of the barnyard. “I better not look, I might still be in thar.”
That Rhode Island Red turned white–then blue! Rhode Island! Red, white and blue! That’s a joke, son, a flag-waver! You’re built too low! The fast one go over your yead! You got a hole in your glove! I keep pitchin’ ‘em and you keep missin’ 'em! You gotta keep your eye on the ball! Eye! Ball! Eyeball! I almost had a gag, son–joke, that is.
