I’m looking for a pc game that I can play while drinking. I have a few games that I play (mostly strategy and rpg) that require concentration and attention to detail. Every now and then I like to have a few drinks and play a game that is fun but not difficult. For years, my go to was Sid Meier’s Pirates! I was wondering if there is a newer game that can take its place. The type of game isn’t important just mindless fun.
You might be interested the Infinite Space games, they’re 2D top-down space exploration & combat.
The second one is on Steam.
West of Loathing just came out. It’s a rather silly RPG that’s pretty funny.
I just finished West of Loathing last night (finished as in ‘beat the final boss’, not as in 'did every available quest). It’s a funny little rpg-lite; some thinking required but mistakes don’t really matter very much since they can be worked around. Turn based, so hand-eye coordination not required. Should be a fine drinking game.
I just started playing West of Loathing. Fun little game.
For mindless fun I like the Borderlands games. First person shooters with an absurd number of different guns and a good sense of humor.
I tend to like introspective games in your state of mind. So for that sort (without difficult controls or technique), I’d recommend “What Remains of Edith Finch,” “The Stanley Parable,” “The Beginner’s Guide,” “Contradiction,” “Her Story,” “Layers of Fear,” “Firewatch,” “Journey.”
Any FPS good mindless fun, usually very little problem solving.
Doom and wolfenstein are great
Im kind of weird, when get drunk i get creative so difficult puzzles and hard stealth games like hitman or MGSV are so much more fun to me lol
Rollercoaster Tycoon is fun when inebriated.
Keep an eye on Niche, a nice little genetics simulator in Early Access.
The funnest games to play while buzzed or hammered are fighting games, especially during online matches.
I recommend Street Fighter V. I have it on my PS4.
Try Playing bonk.io unblocked game if you are more into multiplayer games.
Have you played Portal or Portal II? They’re very funny, they’re not based on twitches (for the most part, a few puzzles have timing but not a lot), and they’re a ton of fun.
Some games I like to play when I just want to relax. None are ever very intense, nor require significant focus.
Planet Coaster
Minecraft
Tropico 5
Banished
And I should mention that GTA V can be quite fun when under the influence. Not so much the missions, but just driving around, creating havoc, and running from the authorities.
Mafia games are good for that as well. I like to have Jimmy steal a bus and play demolition derby against the police.
Europa Universalis IV.
Race the Sun
Astroneer - this is still pre-alpha (so bugs, weirdness) but it’s fun to just tool around in and build stuff/explore etc. I listen to podcasts and just zone out playing it.
