I need a particular map, can anyone help?

I’m writing some new Onslaught levels for Unreal Tournament 2004, and I have an idea for a great map.

I was watching Discovery on the weekend, and stumbled across a show concerning Tambora, the volcano that affected the Earth’s climate in the early 1800’s. The narrator/scientist descended into the caldera, which is 6km in diameter and 4000 feet deep. Just about the right size.

I went to Google and all the refernces I found are for historical Tambora, not anything modern other than a snapshot or two from orbit.

I need a topographical map, a greyscale heightmap, or a more detailed image of the caldera from overhead. I plan to use the caldera as my game “arena”.

If anyone can direct me to an appropriate pic, I would be grateful.

Along the same lines, any other interesting calderas would be useful too. It’s odd that I can get more detailed data for Olympus Mons on Mars than I can for most terrestrial volcanoes, other than Kilauea. Mount St. Helens is not a good choice because of the bulge and the low crater wall to the north. Meteor Crater in Arizona is too bland.

If you’re interested in the final project, contact me. I’m always looking for players.
