I’m doing a reaserch paper on heterosexism in schools and how it hinders the development of tolerance, acceptance and equality. I’m having a bit of a hard time finding material specifying heterosexism in schools. If anybody could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!
You mean, heterosexuality, or straight people. And how does being straight hinder tolerance?
heterosexism is the asumption and behavior that heterosexuality is the only valid sexuality. Kind of like homophobia. Sorry for the lack of a definition.

What was that all about, Blackeyes? Seems like a valid question.
sandalfeet, I’m not familiar with resources, but you might find this thread informative.
After a quick search on google, I came up with these promising links.
GLSEN seems to be cited often as a group fighting heterosexism in schools, their webpage is here.
What class is this for? It sounds interesting! Hope these can help you.

You can try searching ERIC - the Education Resources Information Center. It should help you locate journal articles and the like, though it’s generally easier to access the articles if you also have access to a University library. Hopefully this will help some.
last I looked this board wasn’t to be used as a way to do other people’s homework for them…
