I need song ideas for a litter dvd

Thank you all very, very much for all the great suggestions. It’s been a learning experience as I had not heard of most of the songs, but I’ve enjoyed each and every one.

Listening to them has had me chasing links to other songs and between all the suggestions and finds, I’ll find the one that suits best. Right now however, I find that I have to cut a bunch of pictures as it’s running too long for most songs.

But a really great thing happened while I was link chasing, I found this great video. I was thrilled when the guy who made it agreed to send me a DVD to use along with mine, so be assured great things have come from your fantastic ideas.

When I get the slideshow done, I’ll upload it to Youtube and you, if you would be so kind, can critique it for me. Since I’ve never done one before, I’ll need all the help I can get.

Oh, and I do have the bit from ‘The Graduate’ and am looking for a way to slip it in.

Thanks again!

Music with a little wider scope:

After the Gold Rush by Neil Young – “Look at Mother Nature on the Run in the 1970s”.
Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchel – “They paved paradise and put up a parking lot”
Pleasant Valley Sunday by the Monkees – “Another Pleasant Valley Sunday, charcoal burning everywhere”
Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by the Platters
Dirty Water by the Standells
Poisoning Pigeons In The Park by Tom Lehrer

Pete Seeger “Sailing Down My Dirty Stream” comes to mind

Tom Paxton’s absolutely haunting Whose Garden Was This?

Tell me again, I need to know.
The forests had trees, the meadows were green.
The oceans were blue, and birds really flew.
Can you swear that was true?
