I need to face my parent's mortality

Ditto this. My Mom and dad died at age 62 and 63 respectively. No fun at all, my tears were unnumbered, but one can gain wisdom from sorrow.

You never know. My mother’s mother (grandmother) lived to be 87. My great grandmother lived to be 95. My mother died at 60

On my dad’s side, his mother was also 95 when she died. Her mother was 89 when she died. My dad died at 51.

My grandparents and great grandparents, were from the hills of Yugoslavia as were my parents but they all came to the USA after WWII. So perhaps it had something to do with lifestyle, well not perhaps.

You just never know, you can get upset about something but death happens to us all, unless you know something the rest of us don’t.

Any one of us could step out onto the street and get run over by a bus, so start enjoying the remaining time, it may be later than you think.
