I need to identify an old Le Creuset color

I’m trying to figure out what color some old Le Creuset pans I have are.

What I know so far - they’re old, and their outsides are a sort of manila folder-ish yellowish-beige color. Somewhat darker than the cream color inside enamel.

Any Le Creuset fans out there recognize this? I’ve not had any luck hunting up anything with searches like vintage creuset color or similar.

Dune. You can compare the color here.

Dune’s kinda-almost what I’ve got, (Give or take how well people’s cameras are white-balanced) but several of those eBay items say Dune is a new color. The pots I have are definitely not new.

Maybe it’s boring old yellow.

I bought some at at thrift shop and it is a disgusting fleshy pink color.what do you call that color?
I also have a Dutch Oven that I love and I bought it about forty years ago. I sure didn’t pay $250 for the whole set, let alone the Dutch oven.

Braised Zombie

Sweat two diced onions in a 9-quart LeCreuset dutch oven, then pour in one bottle of a drinkable red wine. Season the zombie with salt and pepper, then put it into the pot and simmer over low heat for 10 hours until quite dead and tender.

Serve over buttered egg noodles.

You really should rinse the zombie and pat dry before seasoning…
I also add celery and carrots, but that’s just a personal preference. Now I’m hungry!

I thought you treated them like mushrooms and just gently brushed the dirt off with a teatowel?

Well, you do risk losing quite a bit of zombie along with the dirt that way. And you might as well just toss that tea towel afterwards. The residual grime does impart a nice earthy flavor though.
