I Need To Know The Greatest Rap/Hip Hop Beat Ever

erick sermon is the god of beats. throw a rock at a gang of epmd songs and you’ll hit a fucking banger. i really can’t single one out, just listen to all of them. you think dre is a great producer? please. check “knick knack patty wack.” you might recognize it.

the bomb squad dropped some amazing shit as well. public enemy’s wall of samples really changed the game. if “welcome to the terrordome” or "bring the noise (without anthrax) don’t make you wanna get the hell up, you must be deaf.

premier from gangstarr needs to be recognized in this thread. do i really need to explain this? he’s primo, i think that says it all. listne to krs1 and primo’s “i’m still number 1.”

ali shaheed muhammed from tribe called quest was the best with the laid back tracks. “electric relaxation” is the ultimate cool-out song. yeah, the love movement was a dissapointment, but i’m still hoping for a reunion.

while not quite up to the par of the aforementioned, the neptunes are making some questionable talents sound damn good these days. you can always pick out a neptunes beat but they never get old or cliched. listen to the liks “best u can.” nice. i’d never buy a nelly or ludacris album, but then again, i won’t change the radio station if their songs with the neptunes is cued up. earthtone and outkast cook up some crazy shit as well. i’m pretty sure earthtone is actually andre, but i could be wrong. “b.o.b.” was on some futuristic space shit. the really go for something new every time out and still manage to be extremely commercially viable. these guys get props of the highest order.
