I’m sure i’ve already talked way too much about this, but i had heart surgery a couple months ago and have been getting back to “normal” ever since.
Yesterday at 1:30pm i was 8 weeks post op, which means my chest bone is now officially healed and i no longer feel like a Lobster (see, they crack it open when they’re fiddling about in there, i worked in a seafood restaurant all summer, i never liked lobster but i understand their plight all the better now…)
Last night i enjoyed such novelties as: Using my Arms, Lifting things Heavier Then 5lbs, being allowed to Drive Again and, the finest of all, SLEEPING ON MY STOMACH
Anyway, seeing as this is MPSIMS and this falls under all of those i figured i’d let the whole world know. I celebrated by roasting weenies in the woods (we’re strange ducks us East Coaster Kanucks…)
Anyway, all Zipper Chest jokes are welcome Have fun ya’ll, while you’re still young (i’ve been feeling all of my 19 years lately and DAMN but it’s good)
Later later
While I’ve never had heart surgery, I’ve been pregnant a few times, and I know how it feels to not be able to sleep on one’s stomach for weeks at a time.
Well, it’s good to hear you’re feeling better Upham. And yes, sleeping on one’s stomach is one of life’s more subtle joys that could easily be taken for granted.
Yeah, but, like a former boyfriend of mine (who had also been sawn apart and reassembled) Upham may have been warned to avoid “contact sports”. Heh heh - what a lonely ex-lobster.
Congrats on the recovery, Upham! Glad you’re feeling better, tummy-snoozing and getting around.
To be honest, I hadn’t realized you’d had heart surgery. I thought your thread was going to be about recovering from a sunburn. (Sharp as a marble, hmmmm?)
Glad you came through fine and are gettin’ your old piss and vinegar back!
Is that an offer? cause i’m feeling way, way better then i was… And as far as “contact spots” well, i dont know of too too many, but i’d love to learn…
