I graduated in 2009 from a law school towards the bottom of the top 100 US law schools, that I attended on a scholarship that covered about 75% of tuition. I had to maintain my GPA to 3.25 retain it, which I did all three years (I think my average was about 3.53 in the end, but I sweated it every semester). I have a government job. I made a lot of good choices, worked my ass off, and had the benefit of some good fortune as well. I was especially lucky to have the support of my pal phatlewt, my husband, fellow Doper, and all around awesome human being.
I graduated in 1997 (Jesus, can that be right?) And I still owe more on my education than we do on our house. This highlights how making uninformed choices and being generally clueless makes for different results from yours!
I don’t suppose you know of any good job openings near Raleigh?
I’m entering my 3L year, and of course the loans continue to pile up. Fantastic to hear of your good planning and success in working through those loans!
