Thanks for the supportive comments, Colibri. BTW, I almost never put anyone on “ignore” but this particular shit-stain that you quoted made my very short list, so I usually don’t see what he’s bloviating about anyway. I see that I’m not missing anything!
Let me see if I’ve got this straight: wolfpup= 1 square Einstein, madsircool= 0.5 wolfpup but appears to be 0.05 wolfpup, and is “in the bimbo range.” I’m not sure if this means that 1 bimbo is what madsiriscool appears and there are 20 bimbos to the square Einstein or what madsiriscool is and there are 2 bimbos to the square Einstein. So 1 Einstein equals either 4.47 bimbos or 1.41 bimbos.
Is there a conversion table for this?
I thought that 10 times smarter than he appears puts him in bimbo range, which, I grant, is insulting to bimbos.
His monologue is ironic already. He’s berating denizens of the Pit, while in the Pit.
Eh. It’s all relative anyway.
I think Bimbo is smarter.
It’s human to mock, there are degrees to mockery, and there is just something so satisfying about mocking someone we think deserve it, even if it’s for something we don’t think should be mocked in isolation.
That doesn’t mean it won’t just look like asshole behavior to any asshole or outsider reading though.
Sorry, OP. The whiny unpunctuated romantic drama offended me more than the criticism thereof.
How does this apply? It might if the OP was criticizing someone else’s grammar, but they’re not. Actually, quite the opposite.
Metric or imperial?
Wrong Bimbo.
Koko, Betty, and Bimbo.
I believe Shodan is implying that in a world without Gaudere’s law the odds of it originating on a particular board is proportional to the prevalence of nit-pickers on said board.
African or European bimbos?
And how big are their coconuts?
Has there ever been an instance where some newbie came in here with tales of woe about their personal life, and who went on to become a regular, respected poster over time? I almost never participate in such threads, so I can’t say that my knowledge is very good at all on the subject, but I’d be surprised if this ever happened even once.
None that I can recall. And the ones with the horrible writing usually tend to leave the fastest.
Honestly, for a board that prides itself on “fighting ignorance”, people around here fall for every sob story that comes down the pike. And then when it’s pointed out that it’s obviously fake, you get the White Knights claiming, “But what does it hurt to assume it’s true? Isn’t it better to give them the benefit of the doubt? Why are you so mean!!!”
And thus, they give the trolls exactly what they want. Trolls pride themselves on fooling people with their stupid stories. At least the nutjobs are amusing.
I can’t recall any. In my personal opinion, pretty much anyone whose first post is some convoluted sob story is a troll. (This is especially true when it’s presented with bad spelling and grammar.) While they should be given the benefit of the doubt and not be harassed, a word to the wise would be to not respond at all.
I agree. I think the OP here is relatively new and might not understand the experience of others who have been here a long time.
Still, making fun of them in IMHO or MPSIMS is not appropriate.
Yes i agree…
Nitpicking typos is not great debate.
