Yeah, obviously as a whole, the Israeli and Palestinian populations are not fans of one another. Let’s be honest about what Palestine would be like for Jews when it gains its independence. If there even are any who aren’t “ethnically cleansed” from Palestine the way settlers in Gaza were during the withdrawal, we all understand that there wouldn’t even be the fiction of equal citizenship for Jewish residents, right?
Should that fact make me reject the idea of a Palestinian state? I think that would be pretty fucking stupid. A Palestinian state that’s hostile to Jewish residency and unfriendly to Israel is still a step on the path to peace.

Stronger and earlier federal enforcement, strict accountability for govt. officials especially in Jim Crow areas, Media and public condemnation, create a national education department, eviscerate state’s rights, real economic redress, etc. Basic stuff that they never actually attempted, or only lackadaisically. You know, pretty much like Israel does now with Arabs.
