Your warning was because you revived a 3 year old zombie thread to basically bitch about the board. The lesson there was, if you want to bitch about the board you should create a new Pit thread to do it in. Oh, and also you aren’t very well regarded around here. Now, I can sympathize with that, since I’m not either, but I don’t go out of my way to underscore that fact and paint a big target on my face the way you do. 
I don’t change my posting style on any forum on the boards. It’s not like I forget if someone is an asshat in one forum and that doesn’t carry over. If you’re a dick in the Pit, you’re a dick everywhere.
Board rules don’t preclude bad arguments (unless those arguments are invalid or something to do with washing machines). My belief is if there were universal condemnation like when stormfront or some crazy shit happens it would reduce incidents of it happening.
I do not demand you do anything. The neighborhood is nicer if we all contribute to pick up litter when we see it. Ignoring it doesn’t seem to make it go away.

Bricker never said this is the case – it certainly isn’t clear to me. He said the tactic “works” by making readers feel more negatively about the opposing argument by bringing the tone down into the muck (based on his cite).
Okay, I’ll amend this statement – a comparison, even inadvertent, of black (or white, or Jewish, or Asian, etc.) people to cockroaches is a racist comparison. If you said “those black people are running around like cockroaches”, then yes, it’s a racist comparison, IMO.

Thing is, when I see Bricker posting in a thread, I’m kind of happy, because I know the debate is gonna raise its game. There are going to be cites, the arguments aren’t going to be about washing machines, no jackass is going to come up with a crazy conspiracy theory about how I used the word “dude” and derail the thread with it. In general, Bricker’s presence in a thread improves the quality of posts from liberals.
But not always. Sometimes Bricker does this thing, where he thinks that low-hanging fruit are what he should emulate, and then his presence is a drag on the thread; he may as well be Shodan or F-P for all the good he does.
Whatever. I sometimes lose my shit and respond to idiots, too. But at least I’m ashamed of it and try to stop, for what it’s worth.

I am asking honestly, do you really belive this? If so, my experience has been compeltely differnt or we have been reading different messgae boards. He gets dragged in to threads with derision where he is not involved or posted.
