So if a student wants to go to stanford for computer science but is not competitive for admissions, they “suffer” because other kids who are better qualified are getting in and they are not? That’s fucking stupid.
The lottery system is intended to have a racial impact. They’re not doing it to dumb down the school. They are doing it to achieve racial goals and they are adversely impacting a politically weak minority to do it. I can outright declare that is racist. Things that help blacks can be racist too.
And what do you mean “so-called” merit based? Is the shsat racist? Because noone pushing for the elimination of the shsat claims that the test itself is racist.

Lets compare the arguments for iiandyiiii racism versus my racism in that thread. The attitude seems to be that if there is some way to explain away racism from members of your tribe, then its stupid to call out that racism. But if there is any way you can characterize my posts as racist then my racism is so obvious that the argument doesn’t even have to be made.

As reports and researchers noted, there is a connection with guys that are now using “woke” as an insult: they are usually guys that do seek to be seen as victims. And that is on top of using the word as a slur despite many blacks reporting too that the insulting way the word is used now becomes racist when it is used to mock minorities that used that word with the right context. As in actually being the ones denouncing injustice.
This really fits with the racists from the right-wing that use the Orwellian mantra that it is “the liberals are the ones that are the real racists.” Seeing how those conservative racists continue to defend things like confederate monuments or take part in insurrections against the government, it is a continuation of the lying mantra that includes things similar to declaring that slavery was/is freedom.

The proposal was actually the top 7% of each middle school. Many middle schools in NYC don’t have 7% of their students at grade level proficiency in math and english. These are all attempts to move the goalposts to change the racial profile of the school rather than provide good educations to children of all races.
