DD’s WWI derpitude includes a weird obsession with Barbara Tuchman and The Guns of August, wherein he’s convinced himself that she alone is responsible for falsely blaming poor Germany for starting WWI, while ignoring the overwhelming consensus of historians (and those who were actually there at the time).
DD reminds me of the southern apologists who seize on a book or article written by one of their fellow delusionaries claiming that the evil North forced the Confederacy into war to defend “state’s rights”, and will not accept a mountain of countervailing evidence.
I’m curious about how an altered date on a declaration of war would work. Isn’t a declaration of war a public statement? How does France backdate the copies that other nations received? A secret declaration of war would be easy to alter the date of, but a secret declaration of war has no effect on anything.
Let’s not forget that DrDeez came to the conclusion that France started WWI before discovering whackadoo “evidence” to back up his conclusion. How curious is that? Remember in the original thread his ‘proof’ that France started the war consisted of such things as bandying about the word revanchism to ‘prove’ France was responsible for starting the war. For some bizarre reason he was incapable of understanding that France wanting the territory that Germany had taken from it in the Franco-Prussian War back doesn’t mean France started WWI.

No, I came to that conclusion after I read The Sleepwalker. However, please note- all the nations involved were responsible for starting WW2, which I have said over and over. France, Russia, AH, GB, and of course- Germany.

Pretty simple, have $1 million, and you can choose to take it or roll a die labelled 0-9, multiply it by $1 million and take it. i.e a 10% chance of losing it all for a good chance of making bank. And so? Did your question specify that 0 means zero? Do you game? In gaming a 0 on s single d10 means ten- in most cases. I even gave you a cite explaining why. Outside of gaming there isnt much use for a d10.
If I play poker, I generally dont have to ask if an Ace beats a king or if it is a one. In lowball, it is a 1, but not in most poker games. If you dont know the conventions of poker, and assumed an Ace is the lowest card, not the highest- then you would be wrong- except for lowball, and a ace,2,3,4,5 straight.

And fwiw, i play games that use D10s, and have a lot of dice around the house, including some nice little ones made of stone that i used for my last campaign. But that adjacent knowledge didn’t prevent me from understanding the question.
