I pit.... DrFidelius!

I asked if he was flabby - I didn’t say his body was my goal.

This may come as a surprise to you, John, but anyone who doesn’t exercise their muscles is going to - wait for it - lack muscle tone.

Extremely excellent user name/post combination.

I do exercise and it is other people who seem worried about my muscle tone not me

You’re the one who wanted a flat belly. You can’t get that without exercise.

(You can’t get it with exercise either, but, hey, sit ups would be good for you anyway.)

(Also shut ups.)

Like you just quoted me “I do exercise”. But anyway Christian Bale got his anorexic belly without exercise.

Again, untrue.

Well I saw my doctor a couple of minutes ago. He said my last waist/weight measurements were from February. Since I see him every 4 weeks and it is March 30 today perhaps he meant it was 8 weeks ago.
I told him about my diet - no grains, virtually no sugar, no legumes, healthy fats, green vegetables, etc. He said “that sounds good”.
Here are the measurements:
Febuary: 79 kg (174 lb), 89 cm (35 inches)
March 30: 73 kg (160 lb), 74 cm (29 inches)
I told him that some people on the messageboards told me to say that I’m too obsessed about my diet and he said I sounded quite obsessed. Then I said the ebook said to promise to follow the diet exactly for 14 days and I ended up having some chocolate (and cake). He said that I wasn’t really obsessed then.
He also said I was in “great shape”.
I thought the 74 cm / 29 inch measurement was wrong so I just asked him again… he said he thought it was 74 cm even though I said that sounded like too much of a change. He said we can check it again next time.

So your doctor is unconcerned about weight loss of nearly 10% in 2 months or less?

He said something about my weight loss being enough but I said I wanted to lose more fat on my belly then maybe try and get visible ab muscles. BTW in the OP the “good doctor” suggested losing 12 lbs in 3 weeks.

He either didn’t say that or he is unaware of the definition of obsessed.

Medical doctors tend to avoid making psychiatric diagnosis as though they aren’t qualified … I think we’re only hearing what the OP wants us to hear, or maybe only what the OP wants to hear himself. There’s a level of delusion here with the OP and we have to try and see through this self-deceit as best we can.

He sees a doctor once a month, so we have a pretty sick individual here. I’m thinking we’re still testing with all the high profit procedures so the doctor can get his boat paid off and in the end it’s just going to be hepatitis-C. My guess is the yacht club needs a complete kitchen remodel and the OP can be milked for all his insurance company’s worth through doctor’s bills and lawyer’s fees.

The shame of all this is that the OP actually pitted the only person in the whole world who cares … the only person who can help the OP … just simple basic and sound advice brings on such venom and disrespect … a shame I say. Seriously, Lord Blackadder as a model of profound manhood … maybe the OP only needs a new set of eyeglasses.

So you’re saying only DrFidelius is the only one who cares and is the only one who can help JohnClay? But Drfidelius has said he/she is done with JohnClay. So basically you are saying that DrFidelius unleashed JohnClay on to us. I’d say DrFidelius needs another pitting.

Not me … if I ever have to perform emergency open heart surgery while logged into the SDMB, I’ll need his directions. It would be a crying shame if he was mad at me for calling him dirty names or something …

Wait…are you under the impression that DrF is a medical doctor?

Shouldn’t leave out the possibility of needing a new bridge.

The OP is in Australia. I suspect that the monthly visit is a 15 minute check in with a poor harassed doctor at a community mental health centre to make sure he’s still taking his meds, there aren’t too many adverse side-effects, he’s not actively suicidal, and no, he won’t be looking for work. As far as obsessing about his diet, it’s going to be filed under “could be an awful lot worse”. I strenuously doubt that insurance companies or yachts are involved.

You’re full of beans, son. Flat bellies aren’t just granted by the flat belly fairy.

Anyway, whatever, cite, I guess.

Eureka !!!

Clockwise spinning toilet water … that would drive anyone mad !!!

Today, 74 kg, also breathing in…

My moobs seem to be smaller
My rib cage is sticking out more… I also think I have bad posture because my normal breathing pic looks like I have a huge belly: (compare with http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=19213966&postcount=180 )
