I pit.... DrFidelius!

Nope. Same size.

I mean from memory not from the photos.

Perky, though!

Yeah I’m happy about that. I’d had to have saggy moobs. It would be worse than having a big belly.

Here is my story about one of his patients who has OCD:

I told the doctor I couldn’t even stick to the diet for 14 days due to eating things like chocolate (and cake). I agree with my doctor’s opinion that I’m not really obsessed. Trust me, he did say that. His definition of obsessed may involve OCD (like that person I mentioned).

You perservate, which means you can’t stop the obsessive thoughts.

Cool term, which led me to read a bunch of stuff.

I’m gonna stop thinking about it now.

Now.

Which I misspelled. Perseverate. :smack:

I’m going to obsess about that today.

Yeah, Google fixed it for me. I’ve never been into psychology (graduated college without any psych, which wasn’t simple) and I’d never encountered the word.

I didn’t either until my dad showed signs of dementia. It’s common in that population. :frowning:

Despite the entertainment I get from John Clay’s shit show threads, I wish he would be banned for his own sake.

Spelting is overratted.

I know that’s obsessive, but it’s just the one word, so it’s not compulsive, I’m not sick or anything like that.

I assume you’re on the two dictionary plan? Check via one source, then check the word in a second source? It’s the only way to be sure. 3 might be better…

“In general English, perseveration (vb: “to perseverate”) refers to insistent or redundant repetition”

So what repetitive thoughts do I have exactly? I think that most of the time my mind is not filled with any words. Then sometimes when I’m walking I rehearse what I’m planning on posting. And repetitive thoughts aren’t necessarily bad. I think Arnold would have had some repetitive thoughts to get his body:

I thought this was interesting - Arnold breathing in:

:dubious:

So… Try an experiment. Keep a little log of how many times you think about your diet, your body, your weight, your belly, posting about your diet, your body, your weight and your belly. Start with an hour. How many times is it?

Perseveration manifests in my son with an uncontrollable need to discuss certain subjects (video games for him). If the subject is changed, he will return to video games. If people around him are talking about something else, he’ll start talking about video games anyway. Does any of this sound like you and your diet or belly right now?

How far did you jog yesterday, JohnClay?

Lose weight to look good in clothes. Exercise to look good naked.

Post on the Internet to do neither.

Don’t forget to breath out.

Well I’ve heard about a thing where a person says “don’t think about an elephant” and the other person thinks about an elephant… so your suggestion would remind me of those topics and so then might cause me to think of them. Anyway, I weigh myself each day, I don’t check out myself in the mirror every day, I eat things from my diet mainly by habit. I think about posting about my diet if I get a reply about it…

NO… “If the subject is changed, he will return to video games”

Check out these threads I started:

I don’t think I changed the subject to diet…

Like I said, what about Arnold? He would have thought about his body, etc, more than I do. These thoughts of mine are leading to my body being transformed I think.

BTW there is a common idea that men think about sex every 7 seconds… (do a google search)… I’m nowhere that obsessed about my body.
