I pit ITR Champion and his 'concerns'...

Essentially every argument the guy makes is founded upon a glaringly obviously distorted perspective on a set of facts. This is reliably so obvious that he ends up getting his ass handed to him every single time.

No wonder ITR stands for Invited to Resign.

I almost had Pepsi shooting out my nose when I saw his post complaining about rich Democratic politicians. The first time I noticed ITR, it was this post slobbering over Bruce Rauner, the gazillionaire currently trying to buy his way into the Illinois governor’s mansion.

I’m The** R**etards Champion.

His political threads are not nearly as embarrassing as his religious threads. At least with the political threads it’s just easy to see a hack, his religious ones make his own faith cringe.

It would truly be horrifying if he was indeed the high school science teacher he claims to be.

Not that I care much, but I’m not even sure what his religion is. I did notice him several years back white-knighting the RCC, but more recent posts have suggested that he’s not a member.

I recall he has stated that he has evidence for the existence of God, and when pressed he gives a reading list, instead of, you know, explaining and summarizing his position.

He’s a stupid prick.

My theory is he got religion hard, stopped listening to anyone who wasn’t a Christian, and immersed himself in the fundamentalist echo chamber, coming up for air now and then just long enough to tell us why we are all wrong.

IIRC, Episcopalian. People like him are why I left and never went back.

Just in case anyone wants the real meaning of ITR, he apparently races in this amateur motorsport series in one of these cars:

ITR: BMW 328 (E36 body, 1996-1999), Porsche Boxster (2.5-liter engine, 1997-1999), Nissan 300ZX, Acura Integra Type R, Ford Mustang (V6 or 302), Mazda RX-8, Honda S2000.

Are Ivy League and other top universities hotbeds of racism?

Paris Climate Conference may be breaking up
He promptly got his ass handed to him in the latter.

From now on, I can pretty much take it on faith that the truth of any matter that he [del]spews[/del] expounds on will be the exact opposite of what he says. What a noble and selfless service he thus performs for the sake of the board’s motto…

I’m the same way. I saw the thread about the Climate Conference breaking up and got all “Oh no! That’s terrible!” Then I noticed who started the thread and thought “Sweet! Global Warming averted!”

Oh man, I would love to see this thread.

ITR Champion is literally never right, ever, about anything. I have been watching for this. Every fact he cites turns out to be false, and every piece of reasoning he engages in is baldly fallacious or otherwise invalid.

And yet he writes exactly in the tone of a very pompously smart fellow. He has the rhetoric down pat.

He is also at least a fraction of the reason why I finally stopped being a Christian, as it happens. At least, his ilk had that role.

It is all typical of Very Serious People.

The dude is impervious to logic and persuasion. His threads are nothing more than political witnessing, and every time I get caught up in one, I think :smack: what I am even doing.

Hey stupid! Did you ever figure out what “investment” in economics means?

ETA: Oops … that’s the Zombie Shodan I’m addressing. Was he as stupid as the one we have now?

ETA: Sorry for the hijack. Yes, ITRC is also stupid … but there Shodan is the Champion!

PARIS (Reuters) - The global climate summit in Paris forged a landmark agreement on Saturday, setting the course for a historic transformation of the world’s fossil fuel-driven economy within decades in a bid to arrest global warming.

He posts eloquently and often in favor of opinions you do not agree with. This is exactly what this board needs if it is not to become an incessant echo chamber of progressive backslapping.

Posting “eloquently and often” is not enough if one’s trying to successfully present an opposing viewpoint. One must also post informatively and accurately.

And ITR Champion’s track record leaves a lot to be desired in that regard.
