I pit myself for buying music at Walmart

I’m actually pretty stunned that so few people know that Walmart censors it music.

Whoa—iTunes charges $17 for an album?

Is this the same album that Amazon currently has for $5?

And that is why they need a large warning label on their storefronts: “Caution, merchandise inside may have been altered or censored to conform with owners individual sense of morality.”

No, itunes charges somewhere around 8.50 and wal-mart charges somewhere around 8.50. The OP had to buy it twice and consequently paid 17 dollars for it.

:smack: Yeah, okay.

Though it’s not what the OP meant: yes, in Australia albums are $16.99, or about $USD 17.50. Sadly that’s still cheaper than buying a CD.

If this is still breaking news to you with regard to Wal Mart, you get what you deserve in my opinion.
mmm

Until only 150 years ago, it was considered perfectly accordant with Christian morality to keep slaves and flog them if they did anything that displeased you.

You mean like iTunes?

They aren’t concerned with anybody’s morality. They’re concerned with not offending customers and losing business.

Well, it doesn’t seem like it would be cost effective.

I recommend the documentary “Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Prices”. Gives a bit of a background to the family behind Wal-Mart and business practices there. Available on Netflix, too.

Is it available at WalMart?

Yes, but it has been edited for content.

Anything unflattering to Wal-Mart has been edited out - it’s about ten minutes long.

…I can’t tell if this is a joke or not, and that terrifies me.
