Most of those “someone left me a nasty message instead of a tip” stories turn out to be bullshit, though. So I’ll withhold my judgement for the time being.
Once, instead of a tip I was expecting, someone gave me a miniature bible.

While trick-or-treating, the scariest house in my neighborhood was the one that gave our kids little bibles instead of candy.

I just love that he’d already irritated me enough that I didn’t have to put him on ignore after the election, like I did with the people who came out of the wood works to gloat.
More of the Rove school of politics, now being practiced by the proles, even if unwittingly. Identify your own greatest vulnerabilities, then loudly accuse the other side of the same thing first so they can’t effectively use it against you.
I.e.
“The *Democrats *are the real racists!”
“YOU’RE a puppet!”
You can still get it with just the tip though.
