Proof of delusion right here.
Why yes, some of us have read the thread.
What’s that phrase again . . . oh yeah, this guy is nuttier than circus elephant shit.
Ok here we go. A sample of new black media with over 1 million subscribers, more than Beau of the Fifth Column who is regularly cited here.
“The BLM organization”?
Wait, this is the guy that was talking about putting blacks in boxes… so maybe delusional dude with odd hobbies.
Hmmm. I believe @split_p_j’s bigger problem (beyond apparently not communicating well via written words) is that they do not READ threads they post in. See the recent EV Plans thread where they jumped in to thread-shit without seeing the huge MOD note to stop hijacking the damn thread.
Granted they took a second to come back and give a half-assed excuse of “it wasn’t this way last time” - which also proves my point.
So not delusional, just demanding respect for their unproven POV while not having the common decency to actually read and consider other person’s POV may be as valid, or MORE valid than their own.
Not to mention epic hypocrisy where they demand we trust their sources but dismiss ours because “it’s out of date”. Or perhaps, because some of our sources do verifiable research and publish retractions, which isn’t exactly common from YouTube talking heads.
So all signs point to someone smugly sitting behind unverifiable sources and personal opinions they treat as unimpeachable facts while simultaneously dismissing everyone else’s opinions and efforts.
So, yeah, waste of space.
I gave up years ago
There are entertaining loons. There are infuriating loons.
But insipid, delusional, and tedious? No thanks. There are better wastes of time, but y’all have fun!
No, the mod note came after and if you look at my history, I had been posting in that thread from the near beginning saying similar things.
I even brought up the thermal runaways in the same thread. It’s only now that I’m being pitted that I’m instantly attacked for it. So I basically can’t post anywhere.
No, you CAN post in any forum on the SDMB. Whether you SHOULD is an entirely different matter.
No, you just proved the “delusional” allegations. Yes, you were posting in the thread. Then on December 23 we have Puzzlegal’s instruction (snip of the relevant information)
Posts about the overall electric grid, how much range other people need, etc., are not on topic. Please take general comments about overall take up of electric vehicles to a more appropriate thread.
That applies to everyone, but especially to Sam, who has largely posted off-topic here.
And then, you apparently twist time to say that your post on 12/25/2023 about “thermal runaway” a two-word thread shit on the subject (which in your own words, you had posted on already) happens BEFORE Puzzlegal’s instructions?
As I said, you just proved that in additional to not arguing via written word well, you cannot be bothered to READ said written words unless they are expressly addressed to you. Or you’re a timelord and will quickly go back and change the order of your threads, which somehow I doubt.
Or somehow, you’re so FUCKING delusional that you think the mod note for disregarding the EARLIER mod note was the one I was referring too (because you got the note BECAUSE you ignored the 12/23 one). Which once again proves your absolute callous disregard for anyone’s posts but your own.
Looking at it again it does look like I was posting about thermal runway in a different thread on EV’s. That was my mistake but I did post on the thread when it was new about waiting for hydrogen.
I just saw the thread near the top and thought it was the same thread. I backed off when I realized it wasn’t. No moderation needed, just a mistake.
Yes, I got the threads mixed up, the first response made it clear to me, that’s why I said I would withdraw before the mod stepped in. It was a mistake.
I didn’t read up to 12/23
You really DON’T read well do you? I wasn’t jumping on you because of your opinion, I’m jumping on you because you post WITHOUT reading the thread. Which is insulting to everyone else. Sure, people do it all the time, but it’s not respectable behavior. You posted without apparently reading the mod note or anything in the last few days.
Here’s my advice: Read a thread until you’re current (especially when you’ve been gone from it FOR SIX MONTHS) before you comment. If you can’t be bothered to do that, then it is the height of arrogance to ever ask anyone to accept your opinions since you obviously don’t respect theirs.
So you admit to Parallel Lines claim you don’t read threads you post in?
I admit I didn’t read that thread back to 12/23. I thought it was one of the regular EV or power grid threads. I thought I was just restating a point I had made for someone that didn’t read that far back. I got that it wasn’t by the second post by the attitude and withdrew from the thread .The mod came after that. It was a mistake on my part, one that would have been overlooked in the past. Parallel Lines even admits this kind of mistake happens all the time. If you are going to nitpick this then I really don’t know what to say.
But yes, of course I usually read all of the thread, I’m usually one of the first posters in the threads I’m interested in.
I’ll let my posting history back that up.
I know, I’ve been here for years and have seen them slowly ban dissenting voices from the board. My posts today are no different from 10 or 12 years ago, but I would have never received this kind of pile on back then.
The board has changed, but I don’t think is around the typical liberal or conservative lines. I think the issue is that this is an older style board, and the average user is older. Hence why only certain cites from certain places are considered in opinion threads.
Anything else is dismissed as the you tube rabbit hole as one poster put it. I guess I’m done here, and good luck in the echo chamber you’ve built over the past few years.
Well, actually, you wouldn’t know that since you’ve consistently refused to provide cites that support your position.
That’s not true!
They post cites that don’t in any way support their position then claim they do.
I mean, that’s worse, but still.
Farewell. Exit the door carefully lest it hit you on your backside.
