I Pit Split_p_j

You say “black men did not come out to vote in the critical areas of the swing states that could have flipped the whole state if they did.” Have you said why, and what the democrats can do about it?

I have said why this would happen in many posts. I won’t bother to say what the Democrats can do because now it is too late, there is nothing they can do now.

The country is over. There will never be a fair election again in my lifetime.

I post on a few sites pertaining to railroads since I’m a locomotive engineer and a member of the BLET. Which is another bunch of idiots that went 60% for Trump the last I looked. This whole country is full of morons that just voted against themselves. In my union it’s because of the gas prices they say, while they are all driving giant trucks just to commute to work

They are all still talking about railroad regulations and the future of Amtrak and commuter rail like everything is normal.

We are fucked, the country as we’ve known it is over. I’m not going to flee yet, but I can get into Canada when the shit really hits the fan.

Probably too early to rely totally on these numbers, but what I’ve seen indicate that “only” 80% of Black men voted for Harris, as opposed to 90% of Black women, so I think split pj is entitled to say he told you so. Having said that, obviously Black men aren’t really the problem here, white people are.

80% of black males, or 80% of black male voters?

Voters, sorry.

And how was Black male turnout?

I dunno. Forget I said anything, exit polls are trash anyway.

Even if that statistic is correct and “only” 80% of black male voters voted for Harris, so what? It should not be a surprise that some black voters (or black people in general) are conservative, MAGA loyalists, Republicans or whatever.

Same numbers as 2020. So no, split_p_j is still blatantly lying.

BTW, the New York Times has an article about how Democratic Party leaders are trying to understand and explain what went wrong so badly, and it says, “In more than two dozen interviews, lawmakers, strategists and officials offered a litany of explanations for Vice President Kamala Harris’s failure — and just about all of them fit neatly into their preconceived notions of how to win in politics.”

That reminds me of @split_p_j telling us (more or less), “I told you so.”

No it’s not the same numbers as 2020. Trump gained over Bidens 2020 numbers.

Are you familiar with the story of the blind men and the elephant? This is nothing new.

Trump doubled his votes among young black voters. I was surprised it was that high since I thought it was going to more of a sit it out thing, which happened as well.

It’s also looking like it only came down to at most 100k votes in each of the swing states with PA being slightly more 100k for Trump and others around 50K.

We don’t have to make like this is all some big mystery here. I knew the white vote was lost, I knew the hispanic vote was lost and laid out the reasons why.

The black vote was the key to this election and alot of young black men just voted for the couch based on propaganda on social media.

Just as I said would happen.

Torn Pajamas brings up 9/11 truther shit yet again in the “Trump releases JFK files” thread in P&E, starting here:

https://boards.straightdope.com/t/trump-releasing-files-on-jfk-assassination/1013330/13

Of course I flagged it, but seriously. He has been warned many times and I think suspended for it in the past. How much rope does he get?

The hell of it is, he has a valid point mixed in the dross. Pity, really.

That there are some things about the 9/11 investigation and response that deserve the light of day? Sure! But it’s wrapped up in his “just asking questions about whether it’s an inside job” schtick which means when he brings it up, it’s useless.

When you are running low on Reynolds Wrap, you don’t ask the nutjob to get you more from the store, because he’s only going to return with a bunch of hats.

I more meant that the doubt about 9/11 is much of a kind with the doubt around JFK, COVID, Epstein’s death and other events. Not saying that those doubts are valid in each of those instances, just that they’re in a series of events that damaged public trust in the government.

Yeah. PJ also made a good point that today’s CT nuts don’t care about dusty stories like JFK or MLK and if anyone would know how that crowd thinks, it would be him.

I’m not sure why 9/11 is some big sticking point. We are an amoral country, maybe not the majority of people but the leaders are and always have been. The US was founded on that.

The atrocities of 9/11 are nothing when compared to the history of the US, and in what we are likely to see in the US in the next 4 at least. I’ve changed my mind since it looks like the Dem’s are not going to fight back on anything that helps the people.

So, they will lose the 26 midterms, Don Jr. will be president in 28 if not sooner, and Barron, after that. The media is already pumping Barron up.

We are seeing a future 9/11 play out right now, with an ugly vision of the future.

I will just remind everyone the PNAC spelled out 9/11 in '98. We now have Project 2025, we are living with it now, and they don’t give a shit about any casualties.

So pit me, try to ban me all you want.

If you get banned, I’ll be happy.

But just because I’ll be happy you’ll be banned, that doesn’t mean that I’ll be the one who bans you, nor does it mean that I will have anything to do with your banning. Just because I benefit from something, that doesn’t mean I’m responsible for it. Do you understand that?
