He referenced 9/11 lies as a basis for why American citizens no longer trust their government, but he did not assert conspiracy theories, only that lies had been told about 9/11 – which is true. He did not say what lies, and if he had referred to an “inside job,” I’d have taken further action. He didn’t.
Others latched on to the fact that he’d uttered the words, “9/11,” and assumed he was referring to the “inside job” conspiracy. By then, the discussion had been hijacked into a discussion about 9/11. That’s what I moderated for.
You can take further action if you believe it is warranted, but I did not feel that was the case in this instance.

I referenced all the recent moderation but as stated later in this thread, he was vague enough that it wasn’t clear that he was violating anything, and I understood the reasoning and thought the judgement was fair.
Sorry, kiddo, but from what I can understand of this largely incoherent post, the answer is yes.
Understandable. I guess the recent news (brand-new warning and 30 days suspension) is the -flip- side of the mods (generally quite fair) knowledge of poster’s histories. Long term posters get a lot of rope, but they also get judged on long ongoing trends.
I suspect the judgement was also a compromise, because reading through the post it was just vague enough that one could, if one wanted, give said poster the benefit of the doubt. So they get a DrDeth style “this is your last chance” long term suspension and not a perma-ban, although that was mentioned as the next step if it happened again.
NOTE - I am NOT disputing the moderation, just think it was reasonably well balanced and nuanced. 
Is @Miller going to close the thread until the suspension is over? He’s done it before for long-term suspensions.
