Yep. New low, guys. “Let’s make everything worse so that a president we disagree with (mostly because we’re too stupid to understand basic economics) doesn’t have a chance against people who are bound to make things worse next year!”
The first comment on the page sums it up nicely: “If ONE of these “true American patriots” can tell me how intentionally causing harm to other Americans is patriotic, I’m all ears.”
This is consistent with the position of the true power brokers in the US - they’re willing to make the country a worse place so long as it’s likely their share of the governmental power will increase. And they will scream at other people for being “unAmerican” while they do it.
A revolt of “job creators” and America’s elite against the redistributionists that keep holding them back and treating them like normal people? Next they’re gonna turn invisible and derail trains…
Tea party nation is hardly the base of the problem. Don’t forget, the Speaker of the House, when the new Congress was sworn in early this year, stated that “the single most important goal of this congress is to ensure that Obama is a one-term president” Just what i want to hear from our government, we’re going to make sure nothing good happens in the next two years so that we can win an office.
As opposed to your witty comment, the intellectual likes of which have not been surpassed since the Gore Vidal-William Buckley debates. Do you actually contribute anything with more substance than your “Regards” signoff?
No businessman is going to shoot himself in the foot in order to get Obama. They are not going to sacrifice their own money, which is the only reason they hire people anyway, for this ‘stand’.
This analagous to the morons who said they were going to move to another country if Bush was elected, or re-elected, or whatever. It’s bluster, nothing more.
I don’t think this nonsense will lead to anything. But, out of curiosity, did I miss similar rants from you when workers go on strike, particularly those that the public depends on for health and livelihood? Could you provide a few of those links to those OPs you’ve started?
Well, maybe. Brookstone is a small business owner - she runs a process server operation in Denver. I don’t know if she actually employs anyone, though.
