I pit the derisive, condenscending, anti-conspiriacy ... [merged threads]

So the fact that we’re currently undergoing a financial crisis means that the leaders are *not *obeying the Illuminati, right?

Why don’t the world leaders just kill the Illuminati? After all, they’re the ones with the armies.

Such as?
Claiming that “Anti-Conspiracy Theorists” have engaged in the general dishonesty in which Jones and Beck, to say nothing of people like Lawson or Kent Hovind and their related cheerleaders like Oliver Stone routinely engage may make you feel better about your gullibility, but you would be hard pressed to find actual debunkers who routinely lie the way that the biggest CT supporters do.
Your claim is nothing more than a tu quoque that is all the more absurd in that it is based on a false assertion.

It is just TERRIBLE the way the anti-CT crowd insists on facts over the misleading emotions that the CT proponents would prefer to use in discussions. I don’t know how we can live with ourselves for insisting that facts be included in these discussions.

So what if they did? Every one of those 192 leaders would have to take actions at home. Among the (overwhelming number of) nations with an electoral process, they would need to persuade their legislatures to take actions. Among the authoritarian regimes, (such as China), the leaders would have to persuade the military or polirical juntas that support them to take actions. Even in despotic regimes, (North Korea or Iraq before the U.S. invasion), the leader would have to persuade whatever smaller cabinet or junta that carries out his orders to go along with him and not assassinate him if the “orders” were too screwy.

That you assume that such actions could happen makes you naive; that you assume that such actions would happen indicates that you are disconnected from reality.

A wizard did it.

I’d like to qualify that I’m not a trained professional (I’m on my way to a third - if that - in BSc Psych) and I doubt that anyone with credentials would put them on the line by doing an online diagnosis*. I also guess there’s an element of hyperbole here. That said, a belief in an overarching conspiracy is consistent with two types of paranoia: paranoid schizophrenia and paranoid personality disorder. As it stands, schizophrenics are far more likely to kill themselves than anyone else. Obsessive compulsive disorder is actually prevalent at higher rates in individuals with paranoid personality disorders than the general population, but that fact isn’t really relevant without reference to other symptoms (and a professional with contact with Kozmik would need to interpret them according to the DSM at any rate). Anyway, there are other explanations as well, an overextrapolation of structure versus agency or a simple hierarchical animism.

  • Check out the comments for this article for a pretty extreme example, given the subject of the artice had their behaviour widely publicised.

That is correct, there is no conceivable way in this day and age that you could assemble 192 heads of state, either physically or virtually, without it being very clear to the world. It would involve 1000’s of people, massive logistics, and unprecedented organization and secrecy, and it could be destroyed by a single person leaking information. With at minimum 192 agendas there’s no way people would keep quiet.

So, that’s out. What else you got?

Post #886, which you skipped right over.

That Potter gets the blame for everything!

Fair play.
It’s evident to a great number of people, for a great number of reasons, that Koz has some sort of mental issue(s). It should be up to a trained professional to make the actual judgment(s), and he has to go in to see one face to face in order to start that process.

Well, in the great scheme of things, he’s nothing more than a scurvy little spider.

Keep taking, motor mouth, and he’ll actually figure out that everyone’s in the Illuminati, except him.

What?

Shit.

Haven’t hardly read this stupid thread but just to fuel it click on this link.

Somebody gets a dead fish wrapped in treasury bonds.

And one of those causes was London bankers secretly manipulating LIBOR. Just the sort of activity to fuel Kozmik’s paranoid fears. (Even if they did it for monetary benefit, not world domination.)

Ok. Let’s say in the near future there is the G-192 summit. Like the G-20 summit which was created in response to the financial crisis of 2007 - 2010, the G-192 might be created in response to something else. Other than a class picture and certain parts of the summit open to the press, the G-192 summit will be closed to everyone except the 192 heads of government. In other words, there will be a meeting with 192 people - and (presumably) no one else. After the meeting, the 192 heads of government will emerge from the meeting and tell the media what presumably was discussed in the meeting.

I’m not talking about any of the leaders taking actions “at home”.

Ok. Let’s agree to limit the discussion to (1) facts and (2) speculation based on facts.

Fact: There is the G-8 summit.
Fact: There is the G-20 summit.
Speculation: There could be the G-192 summit.

You mean armies like the United States Army?

See above in this post for the reason that the G-20 summit was created.

The same thing that happened to Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

This won’t be known unless there is the G-192 summit.

That might change.

Only if you get treatment.

Or did you mean you might convince people you’re not delusional after all? I doubt it. You’ve been going on and on about this stuff for 25 pages (including the previous Great Debates thread). You’ve convinced nobody that you’re right and you’ve convinced at least a handful of people that you’re mentally ill. I think that trend is only going to continue.

Bullshit.

You’ve moved the goalposts.

Your original statement was about a “super secret” meeting, remember?

There’s a big fucking difference between a closed meeting and a super secret meeting.

The first can happen. The second can’t.

And even for closed meetings, somebody’s recording the proceedings. You don’t expect these world leaders to remember all the details, right? And there’s usually a large contingent of diplomats and advisors hanging about.

In neither case can the head of any government implement anything that results without the support of their local legislatures, ministries, logistical officers, etc. Basically, they can’t just “make things happen” without thousands of people learning about it.

The point is that you can’t just jet 192 high officials from around the world anywhere without people catching wind that (1) there is a meeting and (2) what the meeting is about. That undercuts the whole purpose of a secretive society pulling strings from the background.

ALL 192 heads of government? Is somebody going to lend Blaise Compaoré the cab fare to get out of Burkina Faso? Why bother - he has less real-world clout than the mayor of Detroit.

(We also seem to have moved from a super-secret meeting already orchestrated by the Illuminati to a hypothetical meeting some time in the future.)

It wasn’t my original statement.

There can be a closed G-192 summit. There doesn’t need to be anyone recording the proceedings in the meeting and the diplomats and advisors and the media can wait outside of the meeting. The heads of government do not implement anything. I agree with (1). I disagree with (2).

They don’t all speak a common language. They wouldn’t agree on rules of order. They would have no security. If it were possible to get the 192 heads of state in a single room together they would need 100’s of translators, security, aides, advisers, and technicians in the room with them. There’s no possible way they could keep everything discussed secret, and there would be no common motivation for all 192 heads of state to do so. Are you saying the heads of Israel/Palestine/Iran or the US/Cuba/Columbia would all agree to anything?

And to what end? Anything the president of the US wanted to do as a result of the meeting he’d still have to run through congress.

And the G-8 and G-20 are meetings with a purpose that are well understood and supported by the governments of the member countries. How could the president of the US survive politically if he said “I’m going to this world conference on the taxpayer dime, for undefined purposes, and I’m not going to tell you what we’re talking about”? He’d lose all political capital and his own party would disown him.

In short, you’re living in a fantasy world. But we knew that.
