I Pit the ID-demanding GOP vote-suppressors (Part 1)

You gave me a former McCain strategist. I gave you a former Clinton strategist.

I guess “former strategists” speak with authority only when they help your side, eh?

Read my post, if you can get around to it.

I’ve seen that guy talk on Maddow and others, and the difference is pretty clear. The Bald Guy, the bullet headed all-America Saxon mother’s son…he is definitely conservative, and fully aware of his environment than leans forward. I’ve heard him say some interesting stuff.

The Toesucker, on the other hand, is a Fox goon, and when he talks he’s dumber than The Big Giant Head Hannity. Plus, he looks like he spent the last twelve hours in a hall closet frying fifty pounds of bacon.

*Bravely bold Sir Bricker rode forth from Camelot
He was not afraid to lie, O brave Sir Bricker
He was not at all afraid to be owned in nasty ways
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Bricker

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp
Or to have his fraud gouged out and his sophistry broken
To have his bullshit spilled and his bias burned away
And his fibs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Bricker

His cons smashed in and his bluffs cut out
And his ruses removed and his fictions unplugged
And his slander raped and his bias burnt off, and his pretense…*

John DiFool: I love you and want to spend a day at Disneyland with you!

Pip pip! Good show, that!

That’s enough singing for now lads. There’s dirty work afoot. I sense… A fraudulent thought being had somewhere…

Fully half of my fellow citizens prefer a vacuum carved out of frozen mayonnaise. A mighty sobering thought, in the immortal words of Porky Pine.

Even cheating like whores, Bricker’s band of liars and thieves manage to fail.

This does a kindness to my nads.

So, supporting a fascist coup is sometimes justifiable?

Was Operation Gladio a net positive? What about the specific examples: Italy and Greece for instance? What about American involvement in Iran or Chile?

Reminds me of this sage and venerable quote, from the Little Red Gospel:

Sure, if the leg is incurably gangrenous. What’s your point?

Either liberal hypocrisy, or voter ID is very popular.

The Voter ID Amendment in Minnesota was defeated yesterday by a decent margin. Today one supporter of the amendment blamed the defeat on “fear-mongering” by the opponents of the amendment.

Insert Inigo Montoya quote here.

That the original question can also be answered, “Yes, under the right conditions.”

You okay, Bricker? Hug?

No, I gave you a CURRENT REPUBLICAN strategist, you gave me a FORMER Democrat/NOW Fox Whore.

Jackass

Oh, and HA HA!

I agree the answer is to vote the fuckers out. OH WAIT!!! They are fucking with the right to vote so that this might be more difficult?

ALL those political process answers aren’t as satisfying when you are talking about the right to vote.?

As a poll worker in New York State, I can tell you that we only currently are allowed to ask for ID if the signature does not match, a paper ballot is needed because the voter is not in the book or the voter gives the election offical a reason to question who they are. I had only 1 person out of 755 that had an ID problem. He drove up to the front of the school, ran in and scribbled something in the book. It did not look anything like his signature. Asked for ID. He flips. No one recognized him. Long story short, he starts screaming discrimination! Bull. He said he was going to call the cops. Then he drove away. Too bad he did not call the cops and explain how he was being discriminated against. Did I mrntion he drove with no ID?
Requiring ID would not discriminate. If laws give say a year before they go into effect, There is no reason everyone can not have some form of ID. You have to show ID to get Social Security, to drive a car,and get food stamps, so the cry of discrimination just does not hold water. Voting is so important for all Americans. Why would anyone not want to protect it?
(BTW, he was a white male, mid twenties).

I have no objection to voter ID rules designed carefully and fairly, with the intent to ease rather than hinder enfranchisement.

The GOP suppression programs in 2012 were just the opposite: last-minute efforts introduced without time for review, and with the clear intent of suppression. Those defending these GOP programs are only contemptible.
